The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated the CANIETI 2023 National Convention, an event that aims to generate channels of communication, coordination and cooperation between the high-tech industry and national political actors.
“In Guanajuato we are very proud to have CANIETI as an ally in our task of transitioning to the knowledge economy and moving towards something that we have called from manufacture to Mindfacture,” said the Governor, who invited the participants to reflect. representatives of the technology industry to anticipate the global needs of the future.
The CANIETI 2023 National Convention aims to develop alliances and strategies to promote economic growth and benefit end users of goods and services.
Within the Convention they will address topics such as:
- Information Technologies as the engine of the world
- Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities to streamline the business model and the world’s activities in an ethical and safe environment, among other
“This event has been a starting point to promote that Guanajuato of the future, that Guanajuato of Industry 4.0, of Mindfacture, of robotics, of digital manufacturing, of artificial intelligence and the internet of things, which is why I celebrate that CANIETI and Guanajuato speak the same language, the language of innovation,” noted the Governor.
Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, gave the opening statement and later gave the Presentation of the Guanajuato 2050 Digital Agenda, with the heads of the Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility –SICOM-; Ministry of Finance, Investment and Administration; Institute of Innovation, Science and Entrepreneurship for Competitiveness -IDEA-; the Planning Institute of the Government of the State of Guanajuato –IPLANEG-; and the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development -SDES-.
As part of the activities of the CANIETI National Convention, the Governor and the members of his Cabinet spoke about the proposal of the Digital Agenda 2050 and how it establishes the principles of a digital public policy that allows improvement in the well-being conditions for Guanajuatenses through connectivity, adoption and digital transformation in the entire geography of Guanajuato.
The Guanajuato Digital Agenda is a government initiative that is implemented through three key axes:
- Digital Access: Conceives the enabling of the digital connectivity Network: Guanajuato Network; with broadband Internet available in public places and areas
- Digital Wellbeing: Refers to the development, access, use and adoption of digital services available to citizens, companies, organizations and government agencies themselves
- Digital Competitiveness: It is aimed at the development of initiatives, projects and programs aimed at the strategic productive Digitalization of sectors, clusters, industries, companies, organizations and government
“We want a Guanajuato where there is digital connectivity, capacity and availability. Where citizens access digital services. Where our ecosystem that forms the Valley of Mindfacture remains more alive than ever. And we are building that Guanajuato of the future today,” the Governor said.
The CANIETI 2023 National Convention will last two days, and will have presentations, panels, networking and keynote conferences, with more than 40 expert panelists in the industry, who will talk about adequate regulation and scope of Cybersecurity in a globalized environment; Connectivity for a digital Mexico and Competitiveness in Industry 4.0; and Opportunities and challenges of Nearshoring, Semiconductors and global supply chains in Mexico.
For the first day of the Convention program there will be a talk by Xochitl Galvez Ruiz, Coordinator of the political Broad Front for Mexico, who will talk about the potential of Mexico as the epicenter of Global Talent.
The National Chamber of the Electronic Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technologies (CANIETI) was created in 1935 as the Association of Radio Distributors of the Federal District AC.
CANIETI represents the electronic, telecommunications and information technology sectors to consolidate, develop and boost their competitiveness.
The Chamber is made up of more than 1 thousand affiliated companies that contribute more than 7% of the national GDP, contributes more than 30% of foreign direct manufacturing investment and employs approximately 1 million people directly and 2.5 million people indirectly.
