On its tenth occasion, the School Week for Peace, under the motto “We educate for peace”, aims to promote harmonious coexistence and the construction of lasting peace in education centers.
Throughout the week there will be face-to-face activities in schools like:
- Webinars, photography and drawing contests, conferences and plays, practical school mediation workshop for teachers, “Living is sharing” caravans, storytelling, reading circuits, mini soccer world cups, art exhibitions alluding to peace and parades
Also, to strengthen coexistence in the classroom, the SEG has created a site with recreational activities for preschool, primary, secondary and upper secondary students to be implemented throughout the week, as well as a Program, with activities proposed to be held from the Classroom.
The culture of peace must be an articulated effort that begins with families and society, which is why, during the Week for Peace, basic and upper secondary education institutions carry out activities in coordination with government institutions and civil organizations.
The activities of the School Week for Peace seek to generate, individually and collectively, lasting peace in the school environment, with participation in the constructive resolution of school conflicts, with school mediation and peace circles, and the strengthening of socio-emotional skills, the promotion of human rights and inclusive, equitable and participatory pedagogical practices.
