Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, presented the “GTO Women’s Health Pass”, to strengthen the prevention of diseases and promoting healthy lifestyles, with free and easily accessiblesupport for Guanajuato women.
As he symbolically handed health passes to 46 women, representing the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, Rodriguez Vallejo said: “You are NOT alone! You have the support of the State Government!”
“You are brave and generous women; examples of life and full of values. Always ready to participate and contribute. Undisputed protagonists in the development and progress of our State”, said the Governor, who was with the Secretary of Social and Human Development, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and the Secretary of Health, Daniel Alberto Diaz Martinez.
“The only thing you need is support. That is why I asked Libia Dennise, as Secretary of Social and Human Development, that we had to do more for women. And what better than a woman thinking about how to support more women. And thus the With You Always Woman Strategy emerged, to support you in your income, in your health and in your education, as well as that of your daughters and sons”, said the Governor.
Support has already been presented such as the “Apoyo MujerEs Grandeza” Card, the “Kit With You and Your Baby”; and the Homework Clubs and Greatness Scholarships for young pregnant women or mothers who are studying.
Now, with the “GTO Women’s Health Pass, which is for all stages of your life”, you will receive 10 health services in the 632 Units that we have in the 46 municipalities, added the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo explained that in a first stage, 40 thousand passes of this type will be delivered, which can be obtained at the Health Centers of their municipalities starting September 18 and until the first week of October.
The services or passes Guanajuatense women will have are for consultations in:
- 1. Mental Health
- 2. Delivery of Iron and Folic Acid
- 3. Detection of sexually transmitted diseases
- 4. Consultation to pregnant women
- 5. Oral Health
- 6. Disease detection
- 7. Mammography
- 8. Pap smear
- 9. Nutritional status
- 10. Sexual and reproductive health
The Governor said that each “Pass” has unique characteristics for example, depending on the age of the woman, she will use certain services, one of them is the Mammography Consultation.
“I ask you to value these passes and these 10 services, because it is comparable to family savings of more than 13 thousand pesos,” he said.
“Thus with facts and actions, we continue to deliver for the women of Guanajuato. And we are doing it because we recognize the value of women and their contribution to development. My recognition goes to all Guanajuato women,” said the Governor.
In the first stage, 40 thousand printed passes will be delivered to the health centers of the municipalities, starting on September 18 and until the first week of October.
They are free.
With programs such as GTO Women’s Health Pass, actions continue to be strengthened to provide more and better health services to Guanajuatenses, which is why Guanajuato has the best health system in Mexico, emphasized the Secretary of Helth of Guanajuato, Daniel Alberto Diaz Martinez.
Secretary of Social and Human Development, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, noted that the women of Guanajuato have the full support of the State, since they are a fundamental part of the development of our State.
Libia noted that as part of this support, consultations for $20 pesos will be provided through 50 offices adjacent to ISSEG pharmacies in 15 strategic municipalities throughout the State to those who have their Guanajuato Contigo Si or the Apoyo MujerEs Grandeza card.
ISSEG will offer better prices on 40 exclusive products for women, which will have a pink badge.
These products are for skin and face care; beauty and personal care; hygiene and breastfeeding; thyroid and diabetes; obesity and hypertension.
These pink combos are added to the discounts the pharmacies already have on more than 700 products with the Guanajuato Contigo Si Card. The Secretary of Social and Human Development will install modules in pharmacies so they can obtain their card.
