Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the inauguration ceremony of the company Donaldson Filtration Solutions, in which 75 million dollars were invested and will generate 600 new jobs.
The President said that it is an honor to be with the directors of the Donaldson company at the inauguration of the plant in Leon, which represents the trust that investors have in Guanajuato.
Rodriguez Vallejo recalled that almost a year ago, during the work tour he made in the United States, the arrival of this world-class company in Leon was announced.
“That good news took place in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Tod Carpenter, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Chairman of Donaldson Company, who is today at this important event”, said the Governor.
“Today this company is a reality, Donaldson represents innovation and vision of the future, issues that we also share in Guanajuato because the Valley of Mindfacture is located here”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
It is very important that this Donaldson plant has been located in Guanajuato, said Rodriguez Vallejo, because we have an encouraging future for our young people, we are going to be the epicenter of innovation in this country.
The warehouse that houses the company has 24,000 square meters of construction on a 6.3-hectare land surface.
The production lines for air filters and liquids such as lubricants, fuels and coolants will be housed here.
The company has a global presence in more than 40 countries; it has more than 100 technical laboratories for the development of its products; it employs more than 2,700 people in Latin America with plants in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Peru and Chile.
In Mexico it has 4 industrial plants, including this new one, and a distribution center.
Tod Carpenter, Director of the Board of Directors and Executive President of Donaldson Company, thanked the support of the State Government for the installation of this plant, which will be essential to continue strengthening this company.
Donaldson, was founded in the United States in 1915 by Frank Donaldson, who invented the first effective air filter for a farm tractor.
Today it provides filtration solutions for various sectors such as:
- Mining, agro-industry, aeronautics, automotive, food and pharmaceuticals, among others
The main customers of Donaldson are:
- Caterpillar, Kohler, John Deere, Volvo, Toro, Bobcat, Doosan, CAT, Daimler, Navistar, Paccar, Kubota, Polaris, CNH Industrial, Kawasaki and other
