In order to maintain long-term business relationships in the US market, the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade, COFOCE; held a commercial mission in Texas with the construction sector.
“This signing of an agreement in the 26 years that I have been in charge of foreign trade, has been one of the most beautiful events, the warmth with which they welcomed us with which they embraced us, leaves a new scenery that is beginning between the United States and Mexico. Particularly between Guanajuato and Austin”, said the director of COFOCE, Luis Rojas Avila.
In the objective of continuing to bring more of Guanajuato to the world through exports; COFOCE supports, promotes, advises and accompanies Guanajuatense companies in the export process.
After the signing of the agreement between Guanajuato and Austin represented by the Association of Hispanic American Contractors in the United States, a trade mission was carried out that led to a work agenda, as well as the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding -MOU- between COFOCE and the Hispanic Contractors Association.
“It was found that the best way was to find an Association of contractors that would accommodate us in their projects, this meeting was super dynamic, they let us know that for many years they had been looking in many directions looking for suppliers knowing that they have a great business partner on their side and it has always been there, Texas is a great business partner for Guanajuato”, said the President of the construction committee, Daniel Marquez Orozco.
These actions undoubtedly pave the way to be suppliers in this sector in Texas, and reaffirm the commercial relationship between Texas and Guanajuato and strengthen Guanajuato companies in the sector.
“As Helvex, we have been working with COFOCE for years now, and even though we are a large company with experience in exporting, always working hand in hand with organizations like COFOC has been very helpful, in addition to living this type of experience, helping and taking businessmen by the hand to help them make the right decision in their path to exporting in the United States,” said Stefany of the Helvex company.
During this commercial mission, important deals, agreements and possible negotiations were closed that will make the Guanajuato sector grow.
In the press conference, the recent figures published by INEGI were noted, in which Guanajuato went up one step and positioned itself in 5th place as an exporting State in Mexico, above Tamaulipas.
