The Secretary for Transparency and Accountability -STRC-, through the Ethics, Integrity and Prevention of Conflicts of Interest Unit –UEIPCI-, works on the professionalization of public servants to strengthen and consolidate the culture of integrity, transparency and honesty in the performance of their duties.
Arturo Godinez Serrano, head of the STRC said that these courses provide public servants with the necessary tools to reinforce good practices in the performance of their duties and thereby offer an effective service.
“This will allow us to mitigate those behaviors that may incur in acts of corruption”, said Godinez Serrano.
The Official reported that in previous months, more than a thousand people from various departments and institutions of the State and Municipal public administration were trained, in topics like:
- Code of Ethics
- Conflict of Interest
- Prevention of Acts of Corruption
- Administrative responsibilities for non-compliance with the Code of Ethics
- Public Ethics and Management Model
- Ethics Based in Values
“As our Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo has said, these actions are a key piece for experiencing values and principles; the commitment and honest participation of all is essential for citizens to be sure that there are reliable institutions to consolidate an integral Guanajuato”, said Godinez.
The State comptroller explained that the program is derived from the Integrity Training and Competencies Model, which is implemented for the professionalization and awareness of public servants.
This strategy directly addresses the line of action focused on professionalization programs, technological tools, evaluation processes, and monitoring of State and Municipal institutions, established as the Government Program was updated for the period 2018-2024.
