The President of APIMEX, Fernando Padilla Padilla, talked about the new Project the One Stop Shop Pavillion a concept that will concentrate all the production of a shoe in one single place, the supplying and the manufacture process for any line of shoes and leather goods.
The project was created upon the war situation between Russia and Ukraine plus the logistics problems in China, that have worsened an environment of inflation creating more volatility in the cost of supplies plus the difficulty to import materials and provide what industry needs.
“That is why in Mexico we have this great opportunity, of becoming the main suppliers of the industry in the United States, the relocation of the supply chains or nearshoring is key in these moments when credit is more expensive in the United States”, said Padilla.
For the 62 edition in October ANPIC will be a One Stop Shop, an industry project that is planned to increase competitiveness and productivity of the shoe and leather goods sectors through a greater collaboration, commitment and participation of suppliers, in design, development and assembly of the finished product.
