As part of the Social Pact for Education, students belonging to the Militarized Bivalent High School, Irapuato campus and the Technical Secondary School No. 60 held an interactive robotics exhibition at the “Primero de Mayo” Elementary School in this city.
“The incorporation of technology into the learning process of girls and boys at the primary level strengthens their learning, which allows them to enhance their creative capacity in the classroom”, said teacher Sandra Centeno Gutiérrez, director of the school.
The interactive exhibition was presented to 400 girls and boys from the “Primero de Mayo” elementary school, generating curiosity to learn more about this successful pedagogical strategy called Educational Robotics.
This activity is part of the articulated work carried out by the Guanajuato Education Secretary –SEG- through Regional Delegation IV with the Municipal Government through the General Direction of Education.
The project is part of the “Let’s Learn about Robotics” program, that has the goal of promoting an interest for robotics in girls, boys and adolescents in basic education through Secondary and High School students who are already immersed in the subject.
Francisco Javier Villanueva Robledo, mathematics teacher and head of the Robotics area of the Technical No. 60, accompanied Johana, Tiffany, Mara Isabela and Hector Eduardo, who presented the robots.
“It is satisfactory to bring robotics closer to elementaery level students and that from this age there is an interest in technological issues, which greatly favors them in their training activities, makes them more efficient in their classes and this increases and strengthens their learning, as established by the Social Pact for Education”, pointed out teacher Villanueva Robledo.
