“This will be a great year for Guanajuato in terms of tourism, which is thanks to the thousands of workers who are always at the service of the tourists who come to our State”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.
The Governor inaugurated the Guanajuato stand at the Tianguis Turístico México 2023. “Here we are demonstrating how wonderful our state is, a first-class destination”.
“Today we are sharing, in the most relevant event of the tourism sector in Mexico, our 2 world cultural heritage cities: Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende”, said the Governor who was with the Secretary of State Tourism, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel.
“We also share our 6 Magic Towns: Dolores Hidalgo, Jalpa de Canovas, Salvatierra, Mineral de Pozos, Comonfort and Yuriria. Also in this event are our cities in the industrial corridor: Leon, Silao, Irapuato, Celaya and San Jose Iturbide”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“In Guanajuato we have a lot to offer to all our visitors and tourists. We are going to continue making tourism a pillar of our state’s economy”, said the Governor.
The Governor led the official launch of the Wine Route of Guanajuato “Valle de la Independencia”.
“It will be a unique experience in our country, it will allow you to visit our historic Valley of Independence, the beautiful world cultural heritage city, San Miguel de Allende, and the magical towns of Dolores Hidalgo and Comonfort. We are talking about 77 kilometers with more than 100 tourist experiences”, said the Governor.
The Governor said that it will be very useful for our visitors and tourists, but it also has the mission of integrating winemakers and different service providers.

As part of the Tianguis Turístico, the Governor of the State announced that Guanajuato will host, next year, the thirtieth edition of the National Congress of the Meetings Industry.
“We wish to thank the Mexican Council of the Meetings Industry and the Mexican Ministry of Tourism for such a remarkable decision”, said the Governor.
“I am sure that the Congress will be a complete success,” added the Governor, who putt he event at the level of other events such as: the Hannover Messe, the World Rally Championship, the International Balloon Festival, and the International Cervantino Festival, among other.
“In Guanajuato we have fairgrounds such as the Poliforum de Leon, which is a unique complex in Mexico with more than 67 hectares with spaces for exhibition, business, entertainment and culture”, said the Governor in the presentation where Mayor of Leon, Alejandra Gutierrez Campos was present.
“We are very happy to host this National Congress. An event aimed at specialists in meeting tourism issues, such as CEOs, directors and managers of travel agencies and meetings planners, hotels, venues, production houses, among others. From today we wish to welcome you”, added the Governor.
The Governor also led the presentation of the 14th edition of the Jose Alfredo Jimenez International Festival, which will be held from November 22 to 26 in Dolores Hidalgo.
Jose Alfredo Jimenez is considered the best ranchera music singer-songwriter of all time, and is the pride of Guanajuatenses, said the Governor.
During the 13 editions of the Festival, there have been more than 15,000 attendees each year. A Festival where concerts, serenades, bohemians, tours of canteens, gastronomic and craft shows, as well as various cultural activities will abound.
