To promote local commerce with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises –MIPyMES-, the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated the event “Guanajuato buys Guanajuato”.
This event is to learn about and capitalize on business opportunities, integrate the productive offer and link local MSMEs with purchasing companies and government agencies.
“MSMEs are a great strength of Guanajuato, hence our strong support for them to continue growing and evolving in their way of doing business,” said the Governor.
During the Administration of Rodriguez Vallejo, more than 36 thousand MSMEs have been served with marketing, financing, advisory, consultancy and business technical assistance schemes, as well as with fairs, events, forums and business meetings to increase their presence. in the market and its competitiveness.
“‘Guanajuato buys Guanajuato’ is one of the many actions we are taking to boost the local economy. The goal is to empower MSMEs and that the resources that Guanajuato generates stay in Guanajuato,” said the Governor.
This business gathering generates business opportunities in various sectors such as:
- Medicines and pharmaceutical products, cleaning services, surveillance, protection and security, food products, machinery and industrial equipment, synthetic fibers, rubber, plastics, electrical and electronic material, equipment for communication and telecommunication, agrochemicals, administrative consulting services and information technology, among others
And to link them, organizers established areas for:
- Business meetings, job offers, seminars, workshops, conferences and panels
The event is organized by CONCAMIN Bajio, in coordination with the Government of the State of Guanajuato, with the participation of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES- and Finance, Investment and Administration –SFIA-.
This first edition had the participation of:
- 22 government agencies
- 13 chambers and business organizations
- 5 clusters at ‘B2B business meeting’ tables
- More than 400 local companies that will strengthen their supply chain
- 40 national and international purchasing companies participated
“The challenge is really big for MSMEs; if we are not efficient we will not be able to compete; we must excel in quality, delivery times and prices, among other things”, said the Coordinator of CONCAMIN Bajio, Ismael Plascencia Nunez.
