After two years of the pandemic, patriotism was back in the families that witnessed the Military Civic Parade commemorating the 212th anniversary of the start of the fight for Independence of Mexico, in Leon.
In the traditional event was Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, who observed the passage of the contingents along Adolfo Lopez Mateos Boulevard, from Parque Hidalgo, to the Leon MX District at Francisco Villa and BALM.
Women and men from different institutions who daily demonstrate their loyalty, pride and commitment were part of the parade; also members of the Mexican Army, elements of the National Guard, State and Municipal public security elements, as well as students of the First Light High Schools of Leóon, volunteers of the Red Cross and charro associations.
First education institutions presented pre-Hispanic dance and folk dance, to promote traditions and cultural heritage through art.
The passage of the contingents began with the participation of 14 officers of the Mexican Army, 733 troops with three monumental flags and five banners, 79 conscripts, 53 vehicles and four canine pairs.
Representing the National Guard, a chief, 20 officers, 828 agents with four flags, 61 vehicles and two canine pairs marched.
The State Public Security Forces joined the passage of contingents, with 20 elements aboard seven vehicles.
The Secretary of Security, Prevention and Citizen Protection of Leon, participated with a war band, an escort, 770 elements of the Municipal Police who carried two flags, 22 vehicles, 63 motorcyclists, 36 cyclists, four canine pairs and from the air, the Halcon helicopter flew over the land route of the contingents.
The Municipal Civil Protection Corporation participated with 86 elements, aboard 10 vehicles and a boat.
The Red Cross Delegation of Leon sent 70 elements and six rescue units; while the Heroic Fire Department had 90 elements, three vehicles, an ambulance, five cyclists and a motorcycle bomb vehicle.
The Metropolitan Academy of Public Security of Leon had representation with 63 elements.
The First Light Battalion Militarized Bivalent High Schools, located in Leon, marched with a military band, two escorts and 349 students.
In this patriotic parade, 120 horsemen belonging to different associations of charros of Guanajuato rode their horses.
Families had the opportunity to meet the civic and military personnel who work daily on behalf of Guanajuato residents.
