Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, guaranteed his support to the Municipality of Leon as he announced public works and actions, with an investment for more than 889 million pesos for the current year.
As part of the Launch of the Economic Reactivation Program of the Municipality of Leon 2022, Diego Sinhue listed some of the works planned with the participation of the State budget, among which infrastructure works that will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the people of Leon.
“Infrastructure is very necessary for the city and it is, after all, for the service of the people, that is why this project has a great social meaning, both the Municipal Government and the State Government, execute strategies for better mobility, not only of private cars, but also of public transport, cyclists and pedestrians.
The Governor explained the infrastructure projects such as:
- Construction of Bulevar Timoteo Lozano, in the section Tajo de Santa Ana to Bulevar Mayorazgo, with an investment for 125.9 million pesos
- The construction of the Bridge on Bulevar Jose Maria Morelos, at its junction with Talabarteros de Aurora, a work that will improve the circulation of the Bicentenario expressway, with an investment of 123.2 million pesos
- The paving of the Bulevar Gasoducto, in the Cervantes Saavedra Oriente section, which will cost 107.8 million pesos
- In the Explora Park, the Adaptation and Equipment Project of the Leonardo Da Vinci Theater (known as the IMAX room), with 50 million pesos
- The Rehabilitation of Basic Services of the Pedestrian Route, at Juarez Street from the Constitution street to Mariano Escobedo Boulevard, in its 2nd Stage, with an investment of 20 million pesos
- There will also be investment in the Modernization of the Malecon del Rio, second and third stages, with a total of 123 million pesos; and in the paving of the third lane of Las Joyas Boulevard, where 32 million pesos will be invested, of which 16 million will be allocated by the State Administration
- Sigo XXI Boulevard Bridge at its intersection with Tajo de Santa Ana, which will have an investment of 45.5 million pesos
- Promote the consolidation of the Leon MX District, with the construction of a Monitoring and Surveillance Center, at a cost of 53 million pesos
Also the Governor mentioned that, with a two-part investment by the State Government and the Municipality of León, 64 works will be made for more than 300 million pesos, among which the paving of streets and the rehabilitation of drinking water and drainage networks, among others.
Additionally, the State Government will allocate more resources in actions that support the economic reactivation of Leon, among them, the Vales Grandeza with an investment of 5.5 million pesos; basic education infrastructure, with 53.9 million pesos; the infrastructure of Higher Superior Education, with an amount of 27.2 million pesos and support for the development of tourist events for 10.8 million pesos.
“We are taking another step to make Leon a living city full of greatness, therefore, we are proud to be part of the development of a city as important in Mexico as Leon is,” explained the Governor.
The Government of the Municipality of Leon designed the Economic Reactivation Program, in response to the loss of jobs, as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. The program includes the execution of more than 500 works and actions, with a total investment of 3 thousand 690 million pesos.
