On the Day of the Tree Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, started the 2022 State Reforestation Season and closed the 2022 Forest Fire Season, in the National Day of the Combatant of Forest fires.
“We come to endorse the commitment to the natural greatness of Guanajuato and to the care of our common home. It is a shared commitment between society and government, because it is up to all of us to do our bit in protecting and caring for the environment,” said the Governor.
- The Reforestation Campaign season kicked off at the Bicentennial Poli-Technic University where up to 100 plants of native species such as timbe, palo blanco, ocotillo, huizache, palo dulce, bricho, pino greggii and 50 other species of fruit trees for the University orchard.
The Governor invited those present to join a great reforestation crusade, where everyone, in their environment, plants a tree or a plant to contribute to more trees in Guanajuato to have a cleaner and healthier environment.
