In a tour in Salamanca the Governor of Guanajuato handed over the Mariano Matamoros elementary school for the morning shift and Guadalupe Victoria for the afternoon shift, in the community of Valtierrilla.
The investment
The original building had already completed its useful life. More than 24 million pesos were invested in this new premises.
The building has an elevator to be used by people with disabilities. In addition to the complementary equipment, some of the most important are:
- The multipurpose court and its roof, the access portico, the civic courtyard, the perimeter fence and the hydraulic tank
The campus has:
- 2 level module, stairs, 7 classrooms, a restrooms, 1 USAER classroom and 1 Principal’s Office.
The school has another 3-level module with:
- Stairs, 11 classrooms, health service, access porch, perimeter fence, civic patio with flagpole, multipurpose court, court roofing, elevator, hydraulic tank.
The building directly benefits:
- 679 students
- 24 teachers
- 24 groups
- Morning and evening shifts
Better education
“We work hard so that girls and boys have better education premises for the benefit of their learning, and proof of this is the delivery of this Mariano Matamoros and Guadalupe Victoria school,” said the Governor of Guanajuato.
