The Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE), closed successfully the most recent edition of the eCommerce GO seminar, the prelude to one of the largest business events in Guanajuato, Foro GO.
This year the event ended with the last face-to-face class at Poliforum Leon, where the awards were also given to the attendees.
This third edition of the seminar addressed issues of cross-border electronic commerce for small and medium-sized companies in Guanajuato. It consisted of 3 modules, which began in last February in a virtual way and after 3 months of classes, the course culminated with a last face-to-face Masterclass.
“CrossBorder eCommerce is having a very important growth, in terms of merchandise sales volume and the supply chain involves many challenges. One of the main topics that were addressed in this program was, the digital strategy and the logistics part, the verification methods before the tax and customs authorities of several essential countries for Mexican exports,” commented Carlos Alberto Rodriguez Martin del Campo, Director of Training and International Certifications of COFOCE.
In this edition 15 sessions were given, 12 virtual and 3 face-to-face, where the entrepreneur was led to understand how to build strategies for online sales, from creating an entire work team, choosing which marketplace is the most suitable for your product or business, and how to present strategies for a digital environment, as well as addressing issues of legal aspects to consider for eCommerce, among others.
Also, great importance was given to cross-border electronic commerce, where an overview of the realities and myths that a company can face were explained, this resulted in almost more than 30 hours of training on these topics during the seminar.
More than 60 businesswomen and businessmen who were part of this third generation, came from various States of the Republic, among which was mainly Guanajuato (San Miguel de Allende, Leon, Guanajuato, Celaya, Silao, Uriangato, among other municipalities), as well as States such as Jalisco, Mexico City among other.
“eCommerce is changing all the time and we have to update ourselves every so often, it is a place where monotony does not appear. I would highly recommend this course to those who are just starting out, it is a very good source of support in all aspects, in design, regulations, fees and it is very important to use it,” said Carlos Ernesto Gonzalez Perez of CONMERSA .
