The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato honored the doctors who finished their preparation as specialists and under-specialists at hospitals of the State Organism.
A first in Guanajuato
The Secretary of Health, Daniel Diaz Martinez handed the certifications to specialists in different sectors of medicine at the Regional Hospital in Leon.
Diaz Martinez specially recognized the first generation of doctors that finish an under-specialty in medicine for the critically ill patients and their professors for winning the fourth place in Mexico in the certification exam 2022.
In many fields of medicine
Forty doctors finish specialties like anesthesiology, general surgery, maxilofacial surgery, ginecology and obstetrics, internal medicine, neonatology, pediatrics, radio-diagnose, traumatology and ortopedics and critical medicine.
Not easy
Edith Romero Trujillo, one of the new graduates in internal medicine, said that the first months were really complicated as she witnessed so much pain from patients, but said it has been worth when a patient thanks you for the attention you provided.
An excellent generation
“It was years of lots of work, many people say we are an excellent generation. When we started this residence we were always humble when helping our patients who always were and should always be our motor”, said Romero Trujillo.
A reward for an effort
Efrain Olivos Navarro, the director of Teaching said that new posts have been created for the resident doctors, you have a reward for this great effort because now you are part of this profesional area with a better knowledge that enables you to better help your patients.
An important factor
Daniel Diaz Martinez, the State Secretary of Health noted how necessary it is to develop human capital for specialized medical attention and who are experts handling the most serious epidemiological problems, as well as the attention to the risks for our health as an important factor to develop services and medical units.

“Observe the bioethical principles of your professional career and make sure you choose to save the life of patients, those are principles you should never forget, besides you have the chance to contribute in forming new generations and leave behind a legacy of knowledge”, said Diaz Martinez to the new specialists.

“If we have one of the best health systems in Mexico, we are responsible to form the best men and women that will work with us”, said Diaz Martinez.
