In order to promote diversification of the activities of the companies in El Bajio the Association of Supplying Companies of Mexico –APIMEX-, organizes the fair DIVEX.
This event is a business, processes and industrial services reunion that will be held next July 12th and 13th in the Room B301 of Poliforum Leon and is primarily focused to business owners, purchase directors, engineers of the supply chain, directors, managers, projects incubators and government agencies that are looking for specialized industrial suppliers.
This 5th Edition of DIVEX is an opportunity to position Mexico and the Bajio area as leaders in capturing opportunities of relocation of the supply chains where big companies can meet suppliers of consumables, processes and world class industrial services.
Also, there will be exhibitors by industrial suppliers for sectors like:
- Aerospace, medicine, industrial safety and signage, hygiene, and personal care, metalmechanics and automotive
“Diversifying is important because it contributes to provide greater flexibility to companies to achieve a greater exchange of liquidity and assests and have more sources of revenue, avoiding to depend only of a product or service. This has led traditional industries to evolve, because of the constant changes in the needs of consumers that are now looking for products that are more sustainable and that last longer”, said Ana Maria Carpio Mendoza, Executive President of APIMEX.
In the event there will be a Business Meeting B2B where exhibiting supplying companies will hold specialized reunions during both days with 25 well known companies like:
- Pirelli, Mazda Logi, BMW, Kronos, Oshkosh Corporation, Mexico Sourcing, among other
Carpio Mendoza, informed that in this event there will be 476 business reunions and 70 supplying companies like:
- Cajas San Sebastian, Cotexca, Grupo Solder, Maprecor, Sanper, Novoa, Hiperpack, among other
- APIMEX will sign an agreement of collaboration with the Bajio Aerospace Cluster
DIVEX will have a program of conferences and panels with the participation of:
- Francisco Garcia, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Guanajuato with the topic “Challenges of Supply in the Automotive Industry”
The panel “Opportunities for Guanajuato in Making Better use of Nearshoring”, with Roberto Aranda Gallegos, director of the Center region of Banorte; Luis Adrian Muniz of Vector Stock House; Alejandro Hernandez, vice director of attraction of investment of Guanajuato and Juan Guzman Acosta, Director of Fondos Guanajuato
For Thursday July 13th:
- “Nearshoring and the potential of Mexico for 2024” with the participation of former Secretary of Economy of Mexico, Eduardo Sojo Aldape; the Consul of Japan in Guanajuato, Katsumi Itagaki and the Ambassador of India in Mexico, Pankaj Sharma
Later there is another conference:
- “How to be part of the value chain in the aerospace sector” by Elfido Ramos, Project Manager Supplier Development of the French company Safran, specialized in high technology, defense, aeronautical equipment and security located in Chihuahua
- At noon, there is a presentation by Naim Martinez of the company Baja’s Medical Device Cluster with the conference “The Medical Industry and its Requirements”
Guillermo Romero Secretary for Economic Reactivation of of the Municipal Administration of Leon said that DIVEX is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to increase their possibilities and production and create more revenue.
“Entrepreneurs have in DIVEX a new opportunity, in these business meetings they will find another sector for their business. We are glad that entrepreneurs from Leon grow and diversify, Leon has nine new business vocations and it has also become a health services center”, said Romero.
Froylan Salas Navarro, Vice Secretary for Development of MiPyMEs of the Secretary of Economic Sustainable Development –SDES-, said that it is necessary that local companies stregthen and that more companies compete in global levels.
“We have talked for a long time and said that the market is the world, we are a referent in many sectors and we keep working with a vision of more than 30 years. Guanajuato was the golden door of El Bajio for its agriculture, but we have diversified it and now we are the great Factory of Mexico. Our dream is being the promoters of Mindfacture. We should think everyday on how to create added value because we need to create better jobs and better quality of life”, said Salas Navarro.
