More than 120 exhibitors and an attendance of some 25 thousand visitors is expected

The Secretary of Social and Human Development of Guanajuato -SEDESHU-, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, led the inauguration of the third edition of the National Hat Fair in San Francisco del Rincon.
On behalf of the State Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the head of SEDESHU thanked Mayor Antonio Marun and Yuliana Velazquez, Commercial Director of Oklahoma Hats, for the great boost to the hat sector.
“Our National Hat Fair is not only a matter that has to do with economic benefits, but it is a fair that gives us identity, which is a symbol of unity, of teamwork, of generations of Franco-Rinconenses who have given all their work life so that the hats that our people wear are of the best quality and that this industry is positioned as one of the most important in our State”, said Libia Dennise.
The Official said that, thanks to the work and talent of the inhabitants of this municipality, San Francisco del Rincon continues to establish itself as the best hat producer in the world.
For this edition, they anticipate the arrival of 25,000 people during the three days, with an estimated economic benefit of $8.5 million pesos and more than 120 exhibitors distributed in 60 stands of hats, local products and crafts; it also includes the participation of the Marca GTO Caravan, traditional cooks, fast food, drinks and restaurants.
Yuliana Velazquez said: “I have not only been representing this great industry, I also represent each woman, each man, each child, with dreams of entrepreneurship, with the desire and passion to get ahead.”
She reiterated to all attendees that with their visit “they will not only learn about our daily struggle, but they will also take our hearts with them.”
Secretary Libia Garcia reiterated the permanent support of the State Government, since 8 out of 10 hats that are sold in Mexico and in countries such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Germany, among others, are produced in San Francisco del Rincon.
Finally, Libia led the awards ceremony to Enrique Gonzalez Torres from the Hormwest company, Cruz Servando Godinez from the Hormas Godinez company and Manuel Alejandro Gutierrez from the Hormas para Sombreros Gutierrez company for their contribution to this union, “I feel very happy that you recognize those who are the base of the elaboration of the hats”, said Libia.
