“I am very pleased to be with all of you who are betting on training to enjoy today a state that advances in innovation and Industry 4.0”, said Juan Carlos Lopez Rodriguez, General Director of the State Institute of Training -IECA-, before 1,300 people who attended the celebration of the 17th anniversary of the Institute.
“Today we celebrate the anniversary of the IECA along with the 200 years of the Greatness of Guanajuato as a Federative, Free and Sovereign State and that we continue to fight for freedom, justice and democracy,” said Lopez to the attendees who gathered at the Center of High Specialty IECA Salamanca.
Addressing all those who have received training in different specialties and trades, López Rodríguez said that “Greatness is in you, you have the talent, the values and the strength that has made possible the development of Guanajuato and the growth of IECA”.
“This is also a celebration for you, it is an opportunity to thank you for allowing us to grow alongside you, to witness how training opens new paths for you, how your talents are enhanced. With great satisfaction we observe how you go into each of our 31 campuses and how your transformation emerges. That is why we want to recognize the commitment and effort you have made every day to achieve your dreams”, said Lopez Rodriguez.
After recounting the progress that the Institute has made in terms of training and infrastructure by creating three highly specialized centers in Leon, Salamanca and Silao, the General Director of the IECA called for parents to bring their children to the schools because both in the high schools and in the universities of the communities of Guanajuato, technology is being brought closer to the students.
Lopez said that during these 17 years, six centers were created:
- Container and Packaging Center in coordination with the Japan International Cooperation Agency
- Innovation Center with the support of the American Axle and Manufacturing company
- Design and Integrated Circuits Center, where there is a group of technicians capable of identifying and solving problems related to this technology
- Specialized Center in Automation
- Engineering and Technology Development Center (Ingenium)
- Advanced Manufacturing Center
Lopez insisted that during this time, IECA has taken firm steps to train quality Guanajuato talent and facilitate success stories like those presented during the event and those who gave their version of what the training was and how it changed their lives.
Lopez thanked partners and allies for the trust they have placed in the Institute and for having a common vision to continue conquering more spaces in favor of this great State that is Guanajuato, because “we know that we can do many things alone, but together we have gone very far”.
Lopez also recognized the work done by the directors of the 31 IECA campuses for their leadership that has made the work possible in each of the municipalities, as well as each of their collaborators in the training units, because they are the ones that make it possible for talent to transform.
Lopez expressed his gratitude to the management team for their perseverance and leading the Institute and thanked once again all the people who have been trained because today they have better opportunities in life.
